Terms and Conditions
To make a booking, first confirm availability either by telephone or email. The booking will be held provisionally for 4 working days, giving you the time to complete your booking form, and send it with your payment. If a payment arrives after the 4 days, the booking cannot be guaranteed.
Payments are by cheque, direct bank transfer, or via PayPal (a credit/debit card service fee of around 5% will be added).
Once your payment has been received and cleared, along with your booking form, a confirmation will be sent to you by post or email. If booking within 2 weeks of the start of your holiday, cheques will not be accepted.
(If you wish to pay using PayPal, please confirm the rental amount first, as a service fee of around 5% will need to be added to the basic rental price. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by PayPal, just a credit/debit card. A payment request will be sent, which will include the service fee. All PayPal fees must be paid by you.)
Once we have received your payment and booking form, having first checked availability for the dates you require, our agreement with you is a legal contract. If for any reason you cannot go on holiday and you cancel at any time up until 14 days before the date of your holiday, you will receive a full refund, minus any PayPal charges. If you have to cancel your holiday between 14 and 7 days before the date of your holiday you would receive a 50% refund, minus any PayPal charges. We strongly recommend you take out cancellation insurance for your holiday.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
If you, or any of your party, display any symptoms of Coronavirus before your stay, or live in a household where someone else has symptoms, then you must not travel to Bush Cottage, but must follow the Government guidance and stay at home.
The cottage will be ready for you from 1600 hours on the day of your arrival. Key collection arrangements will be sent to you 2 weeks before your stay.
You should vacate the cottage by 0930 hours on the morning of your departure, and leave it in a clean and tidy condition.
DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES
You are responsible for any breakages or damages that you may inflict on the cottage or its contents. We do not charge a security deposit, preferring to trust that our guests will inform us of any major damages, and offer to pay for repairs or replacements. You must report these, should they occur. We will not charge for minor breakages providing that they also are reported.
All reasonable action will be taken, if required, to repair/replace equipment and facilities, but no compensation will be paid for non-availability at any time.
The Wi-Fi service provided shall not be used for unlawful or illegal purposes. No compensation will be paid for unavailability of this service.
STRICTLY NO PETS ARE ALLOWED. Please adhere to this condition, as we have regular guests who suffer from serious pet allergies and who rely on a clean allergen-free environment.
Smoking and the use of electronic cigarettes are not permitted in the house or garden.
If you or members of your party do not comply with the above conditions, your booking will be terminated forthwith and in such an event, no monies paid will be refundable.
